Giiwednong Health Link Celebrates Kettle & Stony Point as the First Community in New Digital Health Expansion Initiative
Giiwednong Health Link is proud to announce a major milestone in its organizational growth: Kettle & Stony Point First Nation has become the first community to join GHL’s new Digital Health Expansion Initiative. This historic step marks the beginning of a broader regional effort to strengthen digital health capacity, enhance data quality, and support culturally grounded innovation in First Nations health systems.
To launch this partnership, GHL completed a highly successful on-site visit at Kettle & Stony Point Health Services in November 2025. Health Director Paige Boris and her team offered an exceptionally warm welcome, guiding GHL through the Health Centre, Long-Term Care, and key program areas while creating space for meaningful conversations about community needs and digital health priorities.
Throughout the week, GHL worked closely with program staff across Home and Community Care, Community Health, Jordan’s Principle, Healthy Babies, and FASD/neurodivergence services. These sessions provided invaluable insight into existing workflows and informed the co-design of customized encounter forms, reporting templates, and EMR toolbars that reflect the unique strengths and service model of Kettle & Stony Point.
Two training sessions—one introductory and one advanced—supported staff in building confidence with PS Suite and set the foundation for strong adoption as new tools roll out. The engagement was collaborative, thoughtful, and energizing, setting the tone for the expansion initiative moving forward.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better community to begin this next chapter with,” said GHL’s Digital Health Expansion Supervisor, Jesse Beaudin. “Kettle & Stony Point’s openness, hospitality, and commitment to improving digital health systems embody exactly what this initiative is meant to support. This partnership marks an exciting step toward more connected, efficient, and community-driven digital health services across the region.”
In the coming weeks, GHL will begin digitizing the program-specific forms shared by staff, constructing custom encounter forms, and preparing future dashboard reporting tools. Virtual engagements are planned to maintain momentum and continue co-developing the next phase of deliverables.
GHL extends heartfelt thanks to Kettle & Stony Point First Nation for leading the way as the inaugural partner in this expansion initiative. Together, this partnership sets a strong and inspiring precedent for the communities that will join the program in the months ahead.
